The goals of our club are focused on supporting Second Amendment rights while constantly encouraging safe and efficient handling of firearms, promoting shooting sports for people of all ages and ability, while providing a convenient and safe location for our members and guests to practice and compete with their firearms.
The Kent Rod & Gun Club is proud to be a Gold Medal club with the National Rifle Association and we support legal and responsible gun ownership and handing. From the serious competitor to the casual plinker or those who just need a good facility to sight in their hunting firearms, we've had a place for everyone for seventy-six years in our community. We are a working club which functions as a team with the help of our "member power"!
We've had a busy 2024 with several projects undertaken at our club and nearing completion, especially a complete upgrade to our Trap Shooting facility. Like with any job, one is finished and there's a list of more to be done; our focus is on continuously upgrading our club facilities. We look forward to more club updates in 2025.
This year will slowly wind down with several club events and a huge favorite, our Annual Turkey Shoot, which will take place on Sunday, October 6th; a fun day of shooting, a light breakfast and a terrific luncheon, $25.00 per person! Additional rounds, $5.00, Slug guns (bring your own Sabots if you wish) and Muzzleloaders. NO rimfire! Friends and family are welcome, pre-registration is required and will close on September 30th.
